The only way our homes will ever really remain meaningful to us over time, is if they satisfy in us a deeper sense of what it means to be securely housed in our bodies, hearts, and minds.
This is why we have been doing our best to point ourselves, our clients and our communities back to the Self. Whether it is embodied movement classes, community meditation groups, house therapy sessions, or first time home buyer classes, we have tended to a holistic approach to real estate, design and good neighbor-ing for almost twenty years. To keep it communal, most of what we offer is spread word of mouth. We have a print menu in our COLLECTIVE homebase that folks can pick up anytime with a current schedule as well as an ever evolving list of services. Stop by and grab one, have a cup of tea or coffee and say hello. Free hugs for the touchers. Warm smiles for everyone. Or check the newsletter at the beginning of each month for a snapshot of what is hot off the press. Spoiler alert. It’s us. And we are at your service. Happy November, friends. What a beautiful month to be alive in this city, we call ‘home’.

We love houses. Obvi. And we love people who love houses. Obvi, obvi.
Thank you to the homeowners of the world! It takes a kind bunch to steward a place. We also really respect the massive amounts of folks who take pride in designing and building so many hella cute houses into being, all over the state of Utah. We help clients get their homes ready to sell. And we represent them in the process from start to finish as they transition from one house to the next. A boutique brokerage with beliefs. Values that stand for a firm foundation in community building, wrapped around the loving hearth of togetherness, and protected by a roof of shared values.
Basically, we love homes and wanted to share just a few of our favorites with you that our little local team has had the absolute honor of selling so far this year. Shout out to every person that took part in helping these beauties shine.
One “welcome home” at a time.
We asked our listing professionals what made these gems particularly special and here is what they said.
1960S GEM | MID CENTURY SANCTUARY
“I love the architectural balance of the mid century modernism of this home coupled with the very modern elements of the ADU. And the views from said ADU. Wowza.”

Timeless Charm | 100 South
“Stunning architectural elements like these deserve to be cherished, and we’ were thrilled the new owners appreciate its significance and are restoring this home for the next 100 years.”

Ivanhoe | A Timeless Classic
“Salt Lake City’s history lives on in its cherished buildings, and the Ivanhoe in my opinion is a perfect example of that. I’ve had the joy of helping several clients buy and sell here, and with each visit, I’m reminded why this place holds such a special place in my heart.”

Quietly Enduring | Ron Molen
“Ron’s use of clerestory windows, sunken living rooms, and dramatic fireplaces gave his homes a sense of solace and tranquility, something, I think, everyone can use more of.”

A home that bears fruit- literally and metaphorically
“To know this home is to love her. Opportunities to own a prestigious Victorian in the Liberty Wells neighborhood don’t come often, and I feel truly lucky that both my client and this beautiful home trusted me to present it to the community I know so well.”

SHAMROCK DRIVE | MID-CENTURY VIBE
“Few things inspire us more than a restoration that reflects a home’s soul, like this Stephen Macdonald beauty with indoor–outdoor living intact and original planked ceilings lovingly revealed during Covid.”

Buttoned up Bungalow
“I’ve sold this house three times over the years and each time it gets just a little bit lovelier. Can’t wait to see what the new owner does with it.”

Mid-Mod Mountain Cove Cliff May
“We adore when owners honor the past—this restored Cliff May gem keeps its mid-century soul while embracing that iconic indoor-outdoor connection.”

Picture Perfect Premier
“I love this building so much. It speaks to my heart. Oh, that I could marry it.”

When it comes to being at home in our lives (body and house included), a well-rounded community has been gathering at cityhome for a couple of decades. Our deep-rooted sense of what it takes to make a vibrant space, be it internal or external, is shared with so many makers and creatives, feelers and doers and wise ones. Experiencing ‘home’ as a course worth charting is a reality cultivated within the walls of our collective, and shared in the spaces of an extended community of deliberate hearth and home tenders. We love nothing more than seeing folks feel free to authentically express themselves in our space on South Temple.
The gatherings have been varied and rich over the years and we love it when folks feel inspired to cultivate home rituals wherever they are in the world.
Coupled with our forever desire to help local creatives and makers get paid, we continue to curate vibrant items from friends, as well as from global object seekers, for a tiny shop that has been packing a not-so-small, yet subtle punch. Anything that helps our folks continue to deepen at home, to us, is a breath of fresh air. So whether you have already been snagging incense and candles from us, drinking teas or coffees from the best wood-fired vessels in town, or if you have been taking the meditations on home, home, we wanna whisper and shout out, success!

To see a community creating shelter from the inside out, is both grounding and inspiring. Let’s keep making home together!
The Shop at cityhome hours are Monday through Saturday, 8am-7pm. We also offer a variety of services, community gatherings, workshops and classes. Come in and chat and see what resonates. We would love nothing more. In the meantime, peek at the list of tangible things to take home from our house to yours…

Come and knock on our door!
Kera has been making folks feel at home, since forever.
Some people can do that, point you to you, with mere presence. Proximity to a grounded house, what a gift of extended strength.
In addition to friendship, Kera offers her talents to our cityhome community by way of movement and mineral mist. Known for sharing her alchemical blend, Root & Radiance, before teaching yoga in our UNDERGROUND, authenticity abounds. Bright citrus notes of sacred spice, resin and root, matched with our friend Heather’s salts, is a recipe for wellness. Salts stabilize environments. We need them to live. So we use them in our baths, on our grounds, in our kitchens, our corners, and our tongues.

How fun to see the community creating thoughtful goods, honoring small treasures from around the world, and collaborating with local makers. There is a whole world of creativity aligned with home as a value. As a place to be, internally, first. And then outwardly we become settled as an authentic house. Let’s keep homing close together. But as individually unique designs. Each of us is recognizable from the inside out.
As always, welcome home. Stay awhile.

We need to slow down, if we are ever gonna find ourselves home. For most of us who have experienced ourselves in the rush of the world as of late, we know the remedy. A pace that reflects our values. Time to connect with people we love. The more rested our nervous system, the more compassion we have for the world, our friends, family, neighbors. And ourselves.
So what if we went on a date with our places, a slow walk, flowers, a nice meal. What if we let the houses we get to spend time in, change our cadence. A place to recharge so that the world out there can get the best of us. Because at the end of the day, at cityhome we are always reminding folks that it is all about the house. But what it is really about. Is you. Each of us a home worth loving.
For more details about this Maryland listing, see here. A bit about the historic Maryland building. A couple more for inspo. Happy homing everyone.
At cityhome we work. Always tending house. We stage and style, move, fix, and flex over houses—our own for sure, and for our clients. And when our brain and our brawn are filthy from it all, we like that mellow, pretty life. That homey, hearthy, earthy, sanctuary life. Slow baths and hot showers. The harvest at the end of a long day, week, month. Life. We welcome the incense and flowers, the freedom to rinse it all away. It doesn’t take fancy to create grounding rituals at home. We just need nature. Water. Plants. Soaps and smells.

If we can settle into our bodies more often, with intention and care, we may be one step closer to home, wherever we are. We are particular about who and what touches our bodies. So we made soaps. Of course we did. How else were we gonna get our hands on skulls made of oud and vetiver, sandalwood and such? Not to mention, they are locally made with love by our homie Chelsea. Sometimes you have to create what you crave. (More to come in an upcoming shopkeeper, shop talk series).
So, home is where the heart is, but it’s also where the skull soap is. Let’s do someone we love a favor, and wash their backs once in a while. Or our own.

Welcome home.
*To purchase one of three soap options, pop into The Shop. We are open 8:00-7:00 Mon-Sat. And, grab a Menu of our services for all things home, in the house, the community, and the body.
