One of the many special things about our job as real estate agents is sharing big moments in our clients’ lives. We sold this adorable Ogden abode to our friends just a little while back, but international career transfers and a baby on the way has them leaving their first home together a liiittle earlier than expected—but not before they could give this place a cute face-lift with fresh paint inside and out and a few other aesthetic updates.

The thing they’ll miss most about where they live? Well, it’s where they live.

This pretty perch is located at the top of Ogden’s East Bench neighborhood, a coveted residential area on the east side of Harrison Boulevard at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. In addition to charming historic homes and hospitable folks, life on the bench is made sweeter by immediate access to the Bonneville Shoreline Trails, family and dog-friendly parks, and even our very own coffee shop, Kaffe Mercantile. Our clients have loved sharing a street with “Kaffe Merc,” owned by east-benchers Nick Morris and his husband Lance Smith, who live right across the street. These friendly faces serve their neighbors with delicious Caffe Ibis coffee, house- made pastries, and lunch and brunch options daily. It’s the perfect stop for a warm drink before heading to nearby Snowbasin in the winter or for your five-minute commute into downtown Ogden. In our case, we opted for refreshing iced coffees after a morning hike on the Shoreline Trail with fur-friends Elby and Zeus. While it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to a home that you love (and neighbors you’ll miss!) we couldn’t be happier to watch our clients embark on exciting new adventures.

This one went quick, but if you want to join this Ogden ‘hood follow @ogden_eastbench_homes on Instagram for the latest listings, or check in with our east bench residing agent, Kelly Carper.
