Oh, the Beaux Arts Ball. How do we love thee? Let us count the ways. We love thee for thy abundance in booze and fine snackery. Thy tasty beats forever kept thy dancefloor abounding and revelrous. We love thee for thy bounteous and brazen costumed patrons, and thy copious and bad-ass performance pieces. Thy merriment is unmatched, and thou wilt forever be a beacon of joy in our COLLECTIVE hearts.

On the real, the Beaux Arts Ball was bananas.

We can’t give enough accolades and back-pats to the tribe of tried ‘n’ true folks that made this event one for the record books. It takes a village, people* [and, in this case, some of them were dressed like Village People]. Hats, masks, and headdresses go off the the tireless team that organized this stellar party that acted as the flawless finale to Salt Lake Design Week 2014. Along with DJ Concise Kilgore’s perfectly-orchestrated dance floor [in a fabulously-decorated Ladies Literary Club], attendees were treated to a few exceptional artistic performances, including aerial silk acrobatics, an intimate performance by Bullets and Belles, Selja Sini, and a shut-em-down performance by an actual opera singer [singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” no less], among others. Kudos upon kudos to the folks at AIGA, YAF, and–of course–our team at cityhomeCOLLECTIVE for making the Beaux Arts Ball a smashing success. The photos below [the mesmerizing work of Brandon Cruz] will give you but a wee taste of the debauchery [or you can click here to see the insanity that the wonderful Photo Collective Studios captured]. If you’re seeking a similar kind of Saturday evening, best make sure you get tickets for next year’s spectacle.
