Locals + Culture

What is it about the streets of this city we find so pleasing? The rows upon rows of perfectly planted homes, all bright and cheery and keeping our eyes peeled in delight. There’s a sense of order to this place, a logic in the layout, a harmony at play. The whole damn thing just feels right, this grid of ours. Not long ago, Morgan and Kristi (and Wren!), found us so that we could help them find that perfect space. It was important to them to be close the city without being overwhelmed by the brilliance of it. They wanted to be close to an interesting park. They wanted to be close to shopping and dining and schools that actually made the grade. Enter 767 E Ramona Avenue.

You get the point…this 'hood is good.

She’s a bike ride from Liberty Park's Tracy Aviary, swimming pool, and racquet courts [tennis, anyone?] as well as Trolley Square. A tad further, there’s 9th & 9th and all its splendor: Stockist and ELTH among them. Westminster College is close enough that it’d take an entire semester for a pair of Chuck T’s to show signs of wear. You get the point…this 'hood is good. Naturally, Morgan and Kristi scooped up this gem and quickly made it their own. They loved it and they loved on it. They remodeled the kitchen, gave it a new roof, installed new electrical, and transformed the backyard into their own private oasis. Now, life has led them south, and so they must bid "adieu" to their lovely digs. Know what that means? If your requirements for a perfect space run akin to theirs, you ought to keep an eye out (wink).

There’s something about spring that makes us pay closer attention to the spaces we call home. The light lingers a little longer in the evenings, trees begin their quiet bloom, and suddenly, the outdoors feels just as essential as the rooms within. It’s a season of return and renewal—of opening...
