Locals + Culture

We were smitten the first time we laid eyes on this joint. Can you blame us? The views. The kitchen. That fireplace. THE VIEWS. Homes "built for the entertainer" are a dime a dozen. "Open concept" and "gourmet kitchens" can verge on rote. But this place--which is currently up for grabs--is something different.

This place makes you wonder how one scores an invite to cocktail hour...

We, at least, asked ourselves the question--and, well, we invited ourselves over for one. We just had to know what it felt like to lounge on that deck and watch the sun sink into the horizon--to sit in the living room and bask in the awesomeness of that polished slab of granite and soak in all the love that a well-designed kitchen tends to create.

The kind owners (and sellers) of this spot opened their doors to our COLLECTIVE crew.

They afforded us full use of the space, and--while we kept mostly to the connected kitchen and entertaining spaces and patio--we reserved time for a bit of one-on-one on the indoor basketball court.

Alas, the evening went by far too quickly...

We ate and drank and laughed and took in the crazy-pretty vistas of our fair valley. Places like this one are good for the soul. Places like this are too few and far between. We hope whomever next inhabits this fine spot understands as much. And we hope they invite us by for another round.
