There’s a certain energy around entertaining in a beautiful space that feels so good. It’s the celebration of food with friends that reminds us that the simple things in life–nourishment, relationships, a roof over our head–are the most important things.

Homes like this renovated turn-of-the-century in the Avenues where the kitchen is beautifully laid out and access to the outside is almost unavoidable are the perfect example. Friends and clients of ours, Steve and Angela, have lived in this sophisticated beauty going on six years. They’ve reared their children here, made memories here, fallen in love with the neighbors and the neighborhood here. But, as it will do, life’s ebb has taken them to another place to put down roots which has made this 3 bedroom, 3 bath available for purchase.

We asked Steve and Angela what they’re gonna miss most about living here, and they told us the 10 minute walk to Memory Grove, sipping coffee on the front porch and making dinners while their kids romp in the backyard are the big ones. Throwing a little soiree at their house recently showed us exactly that. What we couldn’t figure out was which was more charming, that front porch or the backyard (we know the little ones’ vote), but we’ll let you decide. Come take a look and tell us what you think. We’d love to show it to you. Who knows?

This could be your next spot to put down roots and to make memories of your own.

There’s something about spring that makes us pay closer attention to the spaces we call home. The light lingers a little longer in the evenings, trees begin their quiet bloom, and suddenly, the outdoors feels just as essential as the rooms within. It’s a season of return and renewal—of opening...
