Do Gouda | Part Deux

The second round of Even Stevens Sandwiches global expansion for good vibes recently moved into the heart of booming Sugar ‘hood, and we're pretty thrilled about it. Housed in the old Petty Ford Motor Company garage, snug on the northwest corner of 21st south and 9th east, the spot is all about white tile, exposed brick, shiny chrome, and funky reclaimed machine-shop details. We dig it. Our COLLECTIVE heart beats a little faster whenever fellow locals make an effort to preserve our city's rad structures in the name of historical respect [precisely why we adore the Utah Heritage Foundation so]. And those big rolling garage doors? Come spring, those babies are going up for some Sunday brunch or breezy evenings that will spill out onto the shop’s attached patio.

We’ve ooh'd and aah'd about the delicious and hearty sammies [same menu as the downtown location], lovely vegan and GF options to keep all the crew-with-various-food-issues happy, and wonderfully gracious worldview of Even Sandwiches on this here blog before. And, you bet yer sweet ass we’re glad to do it again in support of these lovely folks and their karma-positive inducing cause. For each and every sandwich sold—yup, all day long, seven days a week—Even Stevens donates a sandwich to a handful of carefully selected local non-profits whose main goal includes alleviating hunger in SLC. And it’s not just a place for the PM cycle of your day, people, though the great beer selection—Uinta, Epic, Wasatch, Squatters—will keep you coming back after many a day’s toil. Your Mama told you breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? Get on over to Even Stevens and start your morning off right with a nom-worthy egg sandwich or breakfast burrito, and top it off with a big-ass mug full of love sourced from our gloriously mustachioed friends at Charming Beard Coffee. As they say during Even Stevens training for all employees, with emphasis on the sincerity part of being a sandwich professional: “Be who you is.” And what you is gonna be after a meal at Even Stevens Sugar House is satisfied. And, maybe a little more smile-y for the rest of the day for having done something altruistic just by ordering lunch, you smug bastard. Good karma points all over the place.

"The firm's philosophy is respect. We respect the wisdom of the people that sit at the table with us. We respect the environment.
