We worked with Layton Construction to help our neighbors Mountain West Commercial Real Estate (MWCRE) renovate and design their mid-century office building on South Temple. We sought to maintain the industrial feel of the space by enhancing exposed concrete and duct work with stunning walnut paneling, glass walls, and natural stone (courtesy European Marble). We also manged to avoid an industrial overdose, however, by splicing in materials like chrome and pops of neon. Custom fabrication played a big role in the success of this project, thanks in large part to MTC. There's a subtle nod to the mid-century "mad men" space here, but we managed to avoid an overtly masculine vibe.
