Love Letters to Locals

4/14/2020 | Kristen Lavelett
Local First Utah

Those of you who follow us know well our love of all things local. Those small businesses that make up this city and state are the apples of our COLLECTIVE eye and the lifeblood of our economy. And--given that we're one of them--we know well how said businesses are suffering in the face of this global pandemic.

As our state's foremost independent business alliance, Local First fights the good fight for small businesses, fervently working to educate all on the value of buying locally and strengthening our community (you can imagine why we might be big fans, as "locals" are the subject of nearly EVERYTHING we gush about).

Seeing first hand the effects of our current crisis, the good people at Local First are doing what they can to spread a little love.

The letter below is for the Mom & Pops who are working nonstop and the small stores who've closed their doors (hopefully just for now). Local First sees your efforts and they'll do whatever they can to help keep you and yours working for as long as possible. Have a message of your own for the local businesses that we all love?

Send an email to [email protected], or read your love letter aloud in a video and tag @localfirstutah!

We recently passed the keys to a home tucked just beside one of Salt Lake’s most intriguing landmarks — a red-brick beauty resting quietly along the edge of Gilgal Gardens.
