Life in Your Space | Twin Pines

November 10, 2016 | Brian Tripoli

Our friends, Tom and Tracy, came to us not long ago about visions they were having of life in the city–of putting roots down in a neighborhood of close-knit bungalows and where, in the Fall, rows of sugar maples pitch golden leaves to the tree-lined streets. Dreamy, huh? Well (as we hope you’ve come to expect from us), we found them said abode, and now it is time for them to sell their Draper digs. For over a decade, this home has taken good care of Tom and Tracy, and in turn, they’ve reciprocated the love. We wanted to know what it felt like in a space ten years in the making, and so we threw a little shindig…a soiree if you will (will you?). It was easy. A few friends, some tasty nibbles and libations (did someone bring moonshine?), all topped off with an urban campfire, and the evening was set. We loved the seamless transition between indoors and out. We loved the spaciousness of the kitchen, how the island anchors all that square footage. And we loved the backyard. The circular patio. The views of Timp. The room to really kick a soccer ball. The night and the home were perfect. Oh, and after a recent price adjustment, so is the timing…we suggest you call this house your home.

There are homes that shelter us, and then there are homes that shape us. The kind that quietly witness who we were, who we became, and all the small moments in between. A towering, brick flat where friendships turned into chosen family. Kitchens held late-night conversations long after the music...

There’s something about spring that makes us pay closer attention to the spaces we call home. The light lingers a little longer in the evenings, trees begin their quiet bloom, and suddenly, the outdoors feels just as essential as the rooms within. It’s a season of return and renewal—of opening...
