It’s a beautiful thing to gather among friends, to share food and laughter and opened hearts. To do so in a home rooted in conscious design and a connectedness to the outdoors is magical. Such is the feeling this Ron Molen home in Cottonwood Heights evokes. There’s a quiet integrity here, one that makes us feel safe, safe to let ourselves be vulnerable. We trust what our senses tell us: this home was built by honest hands. When that feeling extends to the surrounding homes, when our neighbors all share that very same well-being, we have community.

And what a community Ron’s homes have inspired.

Honored by being chosen to represent the residence at 3601 Doverhill Drive, we recently held the house open and, boy, did fans of Ron’s work come out. In droves. There’s a deep affinity for the modernistic design concepts he championed during a time when brick colonials and split-level homes dominated suburbia. His vision was for gathering spaces that maximized privacy, that embraced nature and natural light and that encouraged the communion between those living inside. Think atriums and generous windows and sunken living rooms. His homes have stood the test of time, because they are as appealing today as they were when they were built.

People love good architecture. Good architecture speaks to us.

And 3601 Doverhill Drive is calling. Who will its next stewards be? Who next will become part of this lovely community in this quiet neighborhood surrounded by so much nature? You?
