It's a rare thing for us to weigh in on politically-charged/-related issues, we know. We are, after all, a COLLECTIVE of individuals…and the opinions within these South Temple walls are as varied as they are in any diverse gang. So, while we don't wish to steer you fine Utahns in any one direction, we will say this: YOUR VOTE MATTERS. We know, we know…they say it every year, and rarely does our lil' red state sway from decades of tradition. But we think it's safe to say that no matter the outcome of 2016's presidential election, it certainly won't be traditional. Today is the day, and there's still time to register in certain counties (Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber, among them!). We won't tell you who to choose. That much is up to you (and is, in fact, a bit of what makes this country so damn special in the first place). No, we won't point fingers or stray from our "indoor voices". Instead, we will leave you with a bit of our COLLECTIVE manifesto:
"We will empower the misfits and encourage the doers. Ours is a COLLECTIVE stoop for the tired, huddled masses yearning to live in a utopian city. Our doors and windows and minds are open. We want to nurture your ideas and anchor them firmly in a group hug. We will inspirit your respectful rebellion and applaud your creative revolution. We will look your squarely in the eye, take your hand, and join the effort with a purposeful salute. We are yours."
