Decades Vintage Clothing: The vibe of this State Street spot is akin to the dress-up trunk of our childhood dreams. George’s Demolition & Salvage: When it comes to housewares, this Harvey Milk Blvd. shop is known for having everything AND the kitchen sink—literally. Whether you’re looking for a cool, retro doorknob, a window (!), or an intricately detailed wrought-iron door, owner, George, has it. Seasoned picker pros will bring boots, gloves, and tools, as this shop is equal parts salvage yard and vintage store. Capital City Antique Mall: Whatever decorative piece you seek, it’s probable that Capitol City Antique Mall has it. This warehouse-style building is brimming with booths touting vintage nicknacks, bric-a-brak, and chachkies of all sorts. Vantage: A relatively new addition to our salty scene, the racks at Vantage are teeming with retro gear of days not-so-long since passed (think ‘80s thru early aughts).
