Salt Lake Acting Company’s mission when beginning this project was to make theatre accessible to all - an ambitious, but necessary endeavor for their 130 year old building. Motivated by the memory of SLAC’s late patron, Amberlee Hatton-Ward, the theatre company raised substantial funds to provide an accessible entrance and restrooms, in addition to an interior facelift for the historic building. Because SLAC is known for brave, contemporary theatre, we wanted their space to reflect that persona. The use of bold colors, unexpected patterns, and whimsical shapes support the company ethos that all are welcome here. Our team is incredibly proud to have been involved in this community achievement and can’t wait to see what the future of SLAC has in store.
