Few things give us as much joy as sisters doing it for themselves--but one of those things is absolutely architecture. So you can imagine why Women In Architecture SLC is one of our all-time favorite organizations. The gaggle of multi-talented (and brainy as hell) gals is celebrating their 3rd anniversary this year, so to give thanks and ballyhoo for all the good they do and awareness they raise (cheers, ladies) they're hosting a little shindig: Partini. According to WIA, "the goal of the organization is gender parity in the professional field of architecture, and seek[ing] to achieve that goal through community, mentorship, and advocacy." The group was organized in 2012 and officially established its non-profit status last year, and to that we give a steadfast salute. The evening will include a silent auction, NCARB Lottery, food from Spice Kitchen Incubator (mmmm), a WIA signature cocktail (ooooh), and a keynote speech by former Senator Pat Jones. Snap up your tickets now to help support one of SLC's worthiest organizations and let's raise a glass to the women who inspire. Do your thing, girls.
