Stoneground restaurant [on 400 S]. has been a prized, local spot for over 10 years. They've got a few, cool details working in their favor, including a prime downtown location, charming ambiance, and some tasty Italian recipes courtesy the of owner, Bob's, grandma. There's little that beats an evening in one of their booths on a snowy evening, snacking an a fresh pie [yes, pie]. Oh, until now. Stoneground has created a perfectly equal and opposite summertime version of said simple pleasure. It's in the form of a newly-built, upper-level deck, and they're firing on all cylinders with this addition. It's heavily-wooded, nicely-appointed, and ripe for a glass of Pinot Gris and a house salad [or a plethora of other options] on a warm, city night. They've left ample cutouts for mountain and city-top views, and the result is the feeling of a new city altogether. Seriously, though, we're quite happy with the one we have...many thanks to Stoneground for making it all that much better. Go grab yourself some end-of-summer vino and ambiance while you still can, good people.
