A few weeks back, we notified you fabulous people about a fantastic art event known simply as MALL2. The name was simple, but the concept a bit more abstract: creators V. Project and 7D8 called it “a gathering space for exploring design and to display products, fashion concepts, graphic arts, and food as a design medium”. In short, it's a very forward-thinking, very conceptual, and very cool idea meant to make folks rethink branding, fashion, and graphic arts. The event was kicked off by FOODCOURT, an opulent and aesthetically-alluring dining experience that we got to experience for ourselves. Think: spray-painted desserts, high-brow TV dinners (complete with veggies sous vied), craft cocktails, tiny, delicious corn dog appetizers, and servers in asbestos suits. The feast was fantastic, to say the least, and we were COLLECTIVELY thrilled to be in attendance of such an avant-garde affair. We can't stress enough the slew of cool cultural happenings going down in our town on the regular. SLC is many-a thing, but boring ain't one of 'em. It's high time you got up and got your sweet self involved! When this one comes around next year, you'll want in on the magic.
