We have a more complete story coming very soon on this amazing gang. Impact Hub is nearly indescribable in its community-driven goodness. This is an effort that will change the lives and increase the opportunities of countless people. In a nutshell, HUB is grand in its design and unlimited in its reach: a global network of folks making collaborative strides with a singular goal in mind...positive change. According to Dustin Haggett, one of the co-founders of the Salt Lake chapter, "Impact Hub is an accelerator for our city. It is a platform for innovators to come together and co-create initiatives and ventures that better our community and the world at large. I think graduates come out of school now and have trouble finding meaningful work. Impact Hub provides a safe launching pad for these folks and others by providing all of the resources and connections they need to be successful."
The good is spreading like wildfire [currently 40+ HUBS on 6 continents and over 7,000 members and makers], and we're thrilled to see that its made its way into our city. For our part, we feel pretty strongly that SLC happens to be filthy with the kinds of folks that work perfectly in a model like this one. Obviously, the good people at Hub SLC agree, and with a view to creating an amazing workspace for these creators, entrepreneurs, and collaborators, they've leased a floor of a building downtown that is nothing short of incredible [see for yourselves below]. We plan to dig deep into the bones of this space in our future feature, but for now, they could use a bit of everyone's help in making it a beautiful and inspiring place for collective thinking and doing. Watch the video below, then visit their Indiegogo campaign and do what you can to help create something that will bring positive change to our city.
