COLLECTIVELY, we had the pleasure of attending this year’s annual Heritage Awards. Held atop The Leonardo [a must-visit for those who haven't], the soiree was thrown by the foundation in an effort to give a back pat and shout-out to the good souls of Utah working to preserve and protect our historic structures. Inspiring to say the least, we heard tales of restoration, renovation, and adaptive reuse -- from the original, cast-iron ZCMI façade, to our favorite Ed Dreier in the valley [and several incredible structures between]. We should all raise a glass to the architects, builders, and craftsmen of our city who work to ensure that SLC can architecturally progress and maintain its historical significance. Preservation super heroes. Click here for the official site and more information on this year's award recipients.
