Should you ever feel inclined to have a couple beers and talk ‘green’ with some of SLC's most influential, environmentally-conscious minds, then you should check out Green Drinks. Once a month, some good folks in our city’s varied environmental fields [and whoever else is interested] coordinate over a few drinks to discuss the city's happenings and ways in which we can all work to make Salt Lake a more sustainable city. Phenomenal, we say. Ideas and gatherings like this are precisely the type that can bring about steady change that's well worth working toward. February’s meet-up was hosted by Zest Kitchen and Bar [located downtown], which made some seriously-refreshing refreshments, while Unsacred Brewery provided pale ale for all. Topic of the night: Economics + Environment -- a celebration of SLCs green business community. This is really good stuff, and they're mixing it up each month [typically on Tuesdays, but check the site below for more info]. We should all be attending. Have a beer and be aware.
