Casey Loter is the kind of local we're pleased to call 'local'. He's the brains and brawn behind Loci Designs, which creates architectural metal work for homes and businesses. His unique and modern style are a lesson in individuality, drawing from mid-century architecture and a necessity to design a variety of modern home accessories. Whatever it is, we're fans.
Loci Designs has grass roots right here in our lovely town. A love of vintage cars, and the restoration of a 1958 Chevy wagon led Casey to his pioneering weld. From there, he took the skill to a professional trade, ultimately working in the metal industry for years. Ever aware of his keen eye for modern, and dead set that he should put it to use, he made his first address sign in 2006. Obviously, the neighbors raved. By 2009, he was Loci Designs.
Casey lives happily in the 9th & 9th epicenter with his lovely wife, Jo, 3-year-old son, Colby, and little dog, Roger. If you haven’t taken notice, he's single-handedly transforming this neighborhood with some brilliant works of distressed steel. Custom gates and fences, head-turning address signs, “lavishly-lounged, outdoor Frank chairs”... Loci Designs has begun to make its mark. COLLECTIVELY speaking, we can't wait to see it everywhere.
“Our goal is to offer an element of functional art to every corner of your home or business while utilizing recyclable and/or recycled materials. Everything is handmade to order in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. Each item is made by hand with great care and attention to detail. We love what we do, and we love to share it...enjoy!” - Casey Loter
