TEDxSaltLakeCity2.0

September 19, 2013 |

One of the things we COLLECTIVELY love most is the mass gathering of creative, influential people in the spirit of changing the world for the better.  The non-profit TED has been devoted to this effort since the 80s, having since created the TEDx program [‘ideas worth spreading’] on the local community level. And, as we all know, our lovely and progressive city has some serious influencers, and loads of ideas worth spreading. Precisely why the second-ever TEDx Salt Lake City is coming to shake things up at the Leonardo this Saturday, September 21st. cityhomeCOLLECTIVE will be designing the stage and setting the mood with the engineering help of Felix DeSiena. For that reason and a thousand others, we can assure you that this will be so worth attending.

A group of our finest locals — Anna Decker, Sara Day, Jamie Coates, Brittany Badger, David Brooks, Trevor Down, and Scott Follet, Jr. — have joined forces to independently organize this incredible event. They’ve also hand-picked no less than 10 Salt Lake movers and shakers to speak on one of the 10 themes of the event [Evolve, Feed, Unite, Move, Repurpose, Heal, Discover, Invest, Express, and Thrive]. Some serious mind expanding, idea sparking, and motivating will be going down here. Stuff ain’t no joke.

Tickets have already sold out, folks, but you can join via live stream at the Artspace Commons or the University of Utah. There’s also going to be an After Glow Party in the Salt Lake Hardware Building; after a day’s worth of absorbing, local performing arts and refreshments will be just what you need. Click on the link below for more info on this year’s line-up and how to get tickets.

7th Annual Bunny Hop!

There are certain staples of spring whose absence would throw all of those warm weather vibes straight out the window: sunshiney patios, the budding of the trees on South Temple, and one of our favorite fair-weather events, Mr. Jesse Walker’s Bunny Hop. That’s right. Now in its seventh year, this COLLECTIVELY adored event is gearing […]
