Whatever you want to call her, our little neighbor to the south is well worth your attention. Yes, we love our home base: Salt Lake City is a fave spot on the map for reasons too many to count, and we’re not likely to stop the public declarations of love anytime soon. But for anyone really paying attention, it’s well known that we are smitten with this state in her entirety, and Provo (Orem, too, for that matter) is a right goodly part of the greater “square” on the map. From the quaint streets to the neighborly people, Provo is cultured, smart, and out-and-out sprouting (more startup businesses here than you can shake a stick at).
In the warmer months, there’s plenty to fill up the ol’ social card.
The Rooftop Concert Series in the summer (note: music scene real hip), for example, or the monthly, downtown art stroll. The restaurant scene here is burgeoning: Communal and Black Sheep have seen high praise from COLLECTIVE clients (pssst…we’ll be telling their stories soon), and there are plenty of other non-chain spots to grab a tasty bite. Outdoor life south of Thanksgiving Point is as lively as it is in our neck of the woods…that is to say, Provo Canyon is a winning choice for hiking, biking, trail running, camping, and the like. Sundance Resort (whose praises we sang here) happens to be a heel click away–just 15 minutes up the aforementioned canyon and you’ll be engaging in things like moonlight cross-country skiing (oooh), potting and painting (aaah), or silversmithing, should you feel particularly inclined to make a necklace…or a pair of spurs. Or you can pack a couple of blankets, fill a picnic basket with meats ‘n’ cheeses, and cruise up to the outdoor theater for a night.
Oh, but you know us: we pair people to space. We match the human to the home. And we do it so exquisitely that you’ll wonder how you ever lived without us. And if we’re talking real estate/design, Provo has the good stuff, no matter which way your tastes run. Extensive mid mod scene? Indeed. You’ll find it in the Tree streets. Quaint, turn-of-the-century Colonials? Why, yes, in the Maeser neighborhood. Craftsman homes in the Joaquin ‘hood, or lake views and easy canyon access in Indian or Sherwood Hills. We even have a clever, COLLECTIVE agent who once called Provo “home” herself and is more than happy to grab you by the hand and show you the town…or help you settle into the space you were meant to call yours.
