Our Opinion: We tend to be idealists at the COLLECTIVE. That’s not to say that we expect perfection in all things, but rather that we hope to find the best in it. This space in the Broadway Lofts is precisely what we hoped it would be — a beautifully-curated, elegant juxtaposition to its raw bones. In perfectly-preserved tradition, the concrete, steel, glass, and wood of this loft is intact and breathing; a historic, living symbol of hard work, balance, industry. We’re waxing a tad sentimental, sure — but that just means we’re on the right track. We’ve yet to paint a tenth of the picture that this space deserves. Given our love of space, it’s comparatively spiritual to walk into one that isn’t simply a blueprint, but a paradigm. The ideal. This is why we are idealists…because once you’ve seen a space like this, you know that there’s a measurement: a standard to which we’ll hold that will affect how we see and live in every space from here on out.
