Instantly Framed | Local App

Last-minute gift idea here! Instantly Framed is a locally-created [!] phone app that’s making us beam with pride for SLC-born ideas. In a nutshell, it allows you to upload your Facebook, Instagram, and iPhone photos for professional printing and framing. Just whip your phone out of your back pocket, upload, order, and receive. It’s even got a speedy 4-day turnaround time. Talk about technology making sh*t easy.

Here’s the facts: the prints are done with an archival printing process on luster photo paper. Four-ply, acid-free mats are used. The 12×12 frames are handcrafted out of walnut wood and hand-painted a soft, black finish so that the grain of the wood can still show through. The backing is made of recycled materials that allows for wall hanging or standing with the custom-made easel. You have the choice of three size options for your photograph to give a little creative wiggle room. The framed photograph arrives beautifully wrapped so that you can send directly as a gift…oh, and the shipping is FREE. [So many good things about that paragraph, right?]

The Instantly Framed app was created by Shalee Cooper, a gallery curator and photographer in collaboration with Alpine Art & Frame Inc., Robin Grey, Apryll Killpack, and Cathi Sutherland. “We’re excited to provide a convenient way to transfer online photos into physical frames, and to become the first-choice framing app for our customers,” says Shalee. “We took on the challenge to create the Instantly Framed app as a solution to help others frame their photos instantly while maintaining a high-quality process.”

Obviously, we love that the app was a local creation, but we also adore the fact that the frames are made of walnut wood forested on a FSC certified tree farm here in the states. Local, personal, aaand responsible gift giving. You’ve never been better.

There are certain staples of spring whose absence would throw all of those warm weather vibes straight out the window: sunshiney patios, the budding of the trees on South Temple, and one of our favorite fair-weather events, Mr. Jesse Walker’s Bunny Hop. That’s right. Now in its seventh year, this COLLECTIVELY adored event is gearing […]
