Imbue’s Buddhist Retreat | Update

Marcus MacDonald

Location: Grover, Utah

Architect: Imbue Design

Property Profile: 1,200 sq. ft. residence + 500 sq. ft. Buddhist retreat

Our Opinion: We made a four-hour drive to Torrey just to check on and photograph the progress of this incredible, modern project, and it was well worth the gas. All told, I took two important things from our mini road trip: 1) Utah road trips are awesome…we stopped at antique shops, ate at hole-in-the-wall grease pits, sang off key, went off-roading, watched the sunset, and had the best margaritas on the planet [at a perfect, little organic restaurant called Devil’s Backbone]; 2) well-designed and perfectly-placed modern homes are always worth the trip. Always.

That’s right. Now in its seventh year, this COLLECTIVELY adored event is gearing […]
