 COLLECTIVELY, we had the pleasure of attending this year’s annual Heritage Awards. Held atop The Leonardo [a must-visit for those who haven’t], the soiree was thrown by the foundation in an effort to give a back pat and shout-out to the good souls of Utah working to preserve and protect our historic structures. Inspiring to say the least, we heard tales of restoration, renovation, and adaptive reuse — from the original, cast-iron ZCMI façade, to our favorite Ed Dreier in the valley [and several incredible structures between]. We should all raise a glass to the architects, builders, and craftsmen of our city who work to ensure that SLC can architecturally progress and maintain its historical significance.
