Get There | Light As Air

October 27, 2014 |

We gave you a good preview of what was to come. We told you all about it. Light As Air is officially happening this weekend, and our COLLECTIVE asses will be planted firmly in Rose Wagner’s seats, all eager to see the evening’s performances and do something for our city.

Maybe you missed the first call…okay. We’ll break it down for you. Light As Air is, in their own words, “an evening of dance performance, creativity, and awareness for clean air in Utah.” Nothing wrong with that. We all know our city to be downright dreamy, save for that layer of smut that intermittently lingers over our heads throughout the year. Thus, some good folks are gonna do some good things in order to motivate and inspire us all to be part of the solution. Thanks to the efforts of some savvy individuals and Landis Salon [all the same good’uns that put on this insanely inspiring event last year], the event will benefit the air improvement and protection efforts of Western Resource Advocates. What’s more, those wise enough to snag a ticket to Sunday’s event will be in for a night of all things magical. Think silent auction with everything you ever wanted: goods from Zuriick, Fice, Snowbird Cliff Lodge, and Supra. A full snowboard kit and Brighton passes. Private dance lessons from Ballet West soloist, Alison Debona. Oh, and a private bike ride with Mayor Ralph Becker, who will also be in attendance [we did it]. Add to that a VIP dinner by Caffe Molise with an acoustic set by Hardy Bros.? Yes. You’ll want to be there.

7th Annual Bunny Hop!

There are certain staples of spring whose absence would throw all of those warm weather vibes straight out the window: sunshiney patios, the budding of the trees on South Temple, and one of our favorite fair-weather events, Mr. Jesse Walker’s Bunny Hop. That’s right. Now in its seventh year, this COLLECTIVELY adored event is gearing […]
