We are cityhomeCOLLLECTIVE, and we are a lot of things. We are lovers of good food, good people, and clean lines. We are advocates for loving who you love, what you love, and–above all else–where you live. We believe in the power of place because we know how vastly your surroundings can affect you. The most important thing we can do is help people find the space in which they unequivocally feel “at home”.
That all said, however, not everyone has the opportunity to find that perfect space. WHERE CHILDREN SLEEP is a new human rights exhibit that explores the sleeping habitats of children around the world and “opens a new chapter in the ongoing conversation surrounding available housing and the critical need to provide safe, secure homes for children in our community.” A collection of photographs by James Mollison offers a peek into the diverse stories of children from varied circumstances and locations all over the world, but the Leonardo has also commissioned local photographers to share where children in our own community sleep. The exhibit will bring to light a topic we should all be concerned with, but support goes beyond a visit to the museum.

COLLECTIVELY, we know the importance of getting involved, giving back, and going that proverbial extra mile–especially when it comes to the lives of our fellow Utahans. To that end, when we were asked to partner with The Leonardo Museum and Habitat for Humanity as part of the Where Children Sleep project, we were thrilled to help spread the word, but more importantly, to put our money where our mouth is and make a donation. Professionally, we are a boutique real estate brokerage and interior design firm. Personally, we are avid champions of this city. We whole-heartedly embrace SLC for her limitless potential and natural surroundings, but we know that there is work to be done. Our lack of affordable housing demands action. As members of this community, we’re here to support, to raise awareness about our own homeless population, and to offer design services that will enable affected children to create and enjoy a safe space of their own. We’re here to help raise $500,000 in the greater effort to build 5 Habitat homes for 5 deserving families, and we ask that you join us in the effort to bring awareness and change to the homeless population in our community.
