A River Actually Runs Through It

List Price: Sold

Neighborhood: Murray

Property Profile: 1,380 sq. ft. | 3 bed, 3 bath

Our Opinion: Ah, the great outdoors. What’s not to love about the shade of green trees, the sound of a mountain stream, or an evening under the night sky with some local libations? Even better if you can have it all in your own, city-dwelling back yard. We happen to have one of those right here, folks. Tucked away in The Willows–just off 5600 South in Murray–this two-level townhouse offers a secluded one-with-nature existence without sacrificing any of those in-town perks (you know…gettable groceries and nearby nightlife and such). This back yard is a call of the wild, a segment of Little Cottonwood Creek cultivated into a haven of swaying trees, riverside strolls, and a pond full of ducks and geese. And really…the river runs through your back yard. It all makes this place just fantastic for throwing a summer soiree, from the fire pit, open yard, and aforementioned willows to the actual outdoor kitchen of sorts, complete with food prep area, sink, and mini ‘fridge. The well-laid-out interior is good for a party, too, with worthwhile upgrades to note in both the living and kitchen areas, as well as an open floor plan. Feels-like-home delights a-plenty here, including hardwood floors and a quaint/cozy fireplace for the chillier months. Spacious bedrooms with plenty of light and room to grow, and the entire home has new glass in all window and doors. Location-wise, she’s sittin’ real pretty: Murray Park is just moments away, as is the historic Wheeler Farm (not baaaa-d), and you’re near enough to all the retail therapy you might need. Only thing left to do is send out the invites to your upcoming 4th of July party. We’ll watch for ours in the mail…

7th Annual Bunny Hop!

There are certain staples of spring whose absence would throw all of those warm weather vibes straight out the window: sunshiney patios, the budding of the trees on South Temple, and one of our favorite fair-weather events, Mr. Jesse Walker’s Bunny Hop. That’s right. Now in its seventh year, this COLLECTIVELY adored event is gearing […]
