Our Opinion: Tucked behind the U, Red Butte Garden [have you seen this place?], and the Natural History Museum [have you seen that place?] sits a home that just reeks of modern sophistication. We hate to rush right to the good stuff, but with a cucina like the one in this rambler, we couldn’t resist. A total remodel, the gourmet kitchen is a chef’s Shangri-La. With a glass backsplash, a pot filler, a Wolf cooktop, walnut flooring, a skylight, a private deck…*pause for breath*…and a granite island the size of Rhode Island, the phrase, “what’s for dinner?” never gets old. It gets even better in the main suite. The bedroom is spacious. It has a Venetian-plastered fireplace and a deck, and the bath ain’t too shabby at all. There’s a steam shower and a soaking tub and a wardrobe closet big enough to get lost in. The rest of main floor offers a formal dining space, a quiet sitting room with a second fireplace and a great room anchored by a third. The lower level? Oh, it’s all done proper-like, too. There’s four bedrooms, two baths, a second laundry and a living room, and–you guessed it–another fireplace. The outside? Well, let’s talk about it. Nicely-manicured, goodly-sized and fitted with a private courtyard, you’ll be hard pressed to ever leave your sanctuary in the hills in order to venture into the city. And when/if you do, you’ll be right quick to come home, whip up some Crème brûlée, and relax by one of your four cozy fireplaces. Well.
