Our Opinion: Sure, there are some streets in this salty town that we hold a little nearer and dearer than the rest, but truth is, we love this whole damn grid. We love the soaring streets of Capitol Hill, we love the mountain-huggin’ homes of Olympus Cove, and we love the big yards and charm of Rose Park. But there’s always something to be said for being in the thick of it all. For being able to wake up and already be where you wanna go. To be able to hang up your car keys for the week and walk. And that’s precisely what this adorable spot on Strongs Court is bringing to the table. From this central locale, the possibilities are damn near endless. But should you need some suggestions, Caffe Niche, Cafe Noir, Cafe Trio, Tulie Bakery, Current, Park Cafe, Coffee Garden, and Centered City Yoga are all just a short jaunt away. Take TRAX to the top of the hill with your bikes, coast downhill, hit Caputos on the way back. Easy. The front porch is a prime perch for morning coffee, and will suit you just find come wine-outside-weather. The backyard is surprisingly quiet, and the rooftop deck is the perfect size for morning sun salutations, sorting out those tan lines, or staycation-style camping (tent and all–it’s been done). With an updated interior (spiral staircase to the loft, anyone?) and vintage/adorable exterior, this casa–dubbed by its current owners as an “industrial-chic, loft-like, semi-Victorian bungalow”–is as dreamy as they come. This is city living, outside the box.
