Home So Sweet | Brand New Street

  • May 9, 2016

    List Price: Off Market

    Neighborhood: Millcreek

Property Profile: 3,148 sq. ft. | 4 bed, 3.5 bath

Our Opinion: A face this pretty in East Millcreek, you say? Yes, indeed. But the best part here is that the ridiculously charming exterior is just the start to what we think is a damn-near perfect home for just about anyone. The main level of this relatively new house (built in 2012) brings to mind a few adjectives that any homeowner wants to hear: light, bright, open, modern, cozy, party-friendly. You get it. The kitchen is a chopper’s/server’s paradise, complete with plenty of counter and cupboard space, as well as an unhindered view of your guests (or lounging pets). Double doors from there walk out to a tidy back and side yard, fully fenced and ready for a good game of Red Rover. The main bedroom and adjoining bath serve as the perfect wind-down after a long one, and upstairs you’ll find another perfectly-sized (and uniquely loft-like) room and private bath. The basement level of the home is spacious, to put it lightly–two more bedrooms, another bathroom, and just enough cool space to set up forts for movie night in the main area. As luck would have it, this casa is surrounded by just as much good as you’ll find on the inside. It’s just down the road from tasty joints like Roots Cafe and Provisions, and a few blocks in the other direction will have you square in the center of Holladay. After the county completes some extensive construction on 2300 East later this year–which will result in new curb, gutter, sidewalks, and bike lanes, mind you–we assume you’ll be skipping to brunch every weekend. The schools within the boundaries of this home are among the very best (Upland Terrace Elementary, Wasatch Jr. High, Skyline High), and the home is quite close to the Millcreek Community Center and adjacent Evergreen Park. Translation: the karate/tennis/soccer lessons you’ve been considering are more than accessible, as is a library and the perfect spot for a picnic. Are we missing anything? Didn’t think so.
