A few good friends of ours are leaving this cozy nest, tucked up and away in the Marmalade hills, so of course, we stopped by to celebrate and send them off. Our standard M.O. for such gatherings oft includes a stacked charcuterie board, but our nosh standards were elevated to new highs, thanks to this hot-as-a-tin-roof dish (special thanks to Maggie at Sur la Table for her schmaltzy Gochujang Chicken). With tasty bites and crisp libations in hand, good laughs were sure to ensure, and amongst the good grub and thoughtful convo, we were struck by an observation:
Every space here offers something to someone...
From the kitchen’s conversation bar to the living room, anchored by that lovely fireplace, to the front porch overlooking a near-football-field-sized garden, this cottage in the hills proves the case that square footage alone does not a home define. In fact, that depends more on how a home lives, and this one has done so well-loved.
