You know all about our love of Salt Lake City. And you know we have eeeendless love for our clients. And, undoubtedly, you know how we feel about real estate and design. Imagine, then, for a moment, that those four glorious things all collide. That's what happens when we get to help our local clients find a new space for their local business…and then we get to help them design it. Oh, it's a perfect storm of utter, COLLECTIVE joy! And it's precisely what we got with Taylor Derrick Capital.

The space itself is all lofty ceilings, skylights, and original hardwood floors…

Taylor Derrick is "a sophisticated real estate finance group that provides capital for real estate projects throughout the Western United States" (but admittedly with a focus on Utah/SLC). "We're very active in the Salt Lake real estate community with both commercial and residential debt and equity transactions," says one of Taylor Derrick's owners, Rocky Derrick, who is also on the Downtown Alliance Development Committee. It was only fitting, then, that they sought out a space from which they could operate in downtown SLC. An office space that would set them apart. Something with heaps of character, exposed brick/beams, plenty of natural light, and the like. Naturally, we were thrilled to help and equal to the task. Ultimately, with the help of one of our savviest agents, they landed upstairs in an old, super cool building on 200 South, surrounded by the Westgate and Dakota Lofts, Pallet, Finca, and the Rose Establishment (in other words, a fantastic spot). The space itself is all lofty ceilings, skylights, and original hardwood floors…a perfect place from which to start, and once it was officially theirs, we got to designing.

the new Taylor Derrick space is a fitting revamp for a bustling biz.

Love Where You Work is a mantra as near and dear to us as the original, and we did our best to create a space that respected the building's bones while freshening things up a touch. From the cozy sitting area, to the perfectly-placed art (by none other than Courtney Derrick), to the custom front desk and furniture by Project Sunday, and the crisp conference room wall that doubles as a white board for a good creative sesh--the new Taylor Derrick space is a fitting revamp for a bustling biz. Have a look at the images below, then ring us up if your office is feeling a tad stale. Real estate and design, guys. We do both…and we'll get you working.
