Salt Lake City is still a baby. As such, we have some unique opportunities to shape it...to create precisely the kind of city we all want to live in. Events like this one are set perfectly to that end; when you gather the creatives, things will no doubt get good. COLLECTIVELY speaking, we're thrilled to see something like this.

AIA Utah Young Architects Forum and the Downtown Alliance, in collaboration with Utah Heritage Foundation, have created the SixtyNine-Seventy Project. This is incredible; an Urban Ideas Competition  inviting teams to envision and re-design the in-between spaces of our city, developing a "connective tissue linking our cultural amenities". This event will be the competition launch party and it is open to everyone. A panel comprised of architects, designers, urban planners, artists and more will pick the finalists to be displayed in The Leonardo. How exciting is this? Amazing, we say. Sensational.
