It’s Hot! | The Market, That Is…

    It’s been a crazy week ’round these parts, and we’ve found ourselves with not one, not two, but three of our $1 million+ listings landing squarely under contract. That’s a lot of good news for one work week, and our heads our spinning with gratitude and good vibes. True, at cityhomeCOLLECTIVE we help put people in amazing spaces everyday. We help folks buy their dream home or their next big project, and we certainly help them move on from the spaces they’ve lived in and loved well. Our days at the office are filled with transactions–paperwork, yes, but more importantly those folks flitting excitedly through our door, elated and anxious and ready for the next stage in their life. The market has been poppin’ these last few months, and we’re stoked to have been part of so many folks’ comings and goings. But those currently on the hunt for their next space can attest to the fact that oftentimes acting quickly is the key to snapping up your next space. Yes, Salt Lake’s real estate scene has been hoppin’, and the luxury market–that is, homes priced at $1 million and above–is no exception.

    Just this last month, in fact, we’ve put three very fine high-end homes under contract (a mid-mod in Millcreek, a modern Foothill-side dream, and a cozy oasis in the Aves). And according to the MLS, nine homes over $1 million have sold in the last 60 days in Salt Lake City (woah), and 24 homes over $1 million have sold in as much time in Salt Lake County (wooooah). Point is, if you thought you had all the time in the world to mull over whether or not you’re ready to pounce on any one of these stunning properties…that might not be the case. According to the Salt Lake Board of Realtors, the average days on market until sale is down almost 26% from last year, and average sales price is up 6% from last year, as well. If you’re ready to find your space, give us a ring. And if you’re ready to sell the one you’re in (whether it’s over $2 million or less than $100k), we can do that, too. Fast.
