Granary Row | Pop-Up Market

6/13/2013 |
cityhomeCOLLECTIVE

We're more than COLLECTIVELY curious about this. It's called Granary Row, and it's probably going to play a substantial role in revitalizing a worthwhile section of our city. We'll leave it to the folks behind this idea to best explain what's happening: according to the official Facebook page, "It’s a pop-up community market and event space comprised of shipping containers and other creative reuse structures (a beer bar made out of wood pallets? Check!) that reclaims the middle of 700 South (from 300 to 400 West) in Salt Lake City for six months of amazing weekends!" There will be bands, beer, and locals, for three -- from a COLLECTIVE standpoint, the entire effort sounds incredible. Granary Row will "serve the needs of the people who live, work, and play in the Granary District by supporting a vibrant, locally sourced, and symbiotic street culture." Come on, people...best to support something like this in any way you can. The official opening night is this Saturday [June 15th] from 6 to 11pm.  Check the website below for more information on this project lead by the good peeps at the Kentland Initiative.
