Whatever the reason or season, charity, fundraising, and general do-goodery are always a cause for celebration in our COLLECTIVE book. And when it's a local group doing some local good, well then, ALL THE BETTER. Which is why we're so pleased as punch to announce that our friends at RYE Diner & Drinks are kicking off their weekly local donation drive. It's called Giveback Wednesdays, and each week a different local organization in need will be the recipient of $1 from every entree (dine in and take out) served that Wednesday. Get some truffle mac and cheese? You just gave to charity. Yes, this is locals doing good by locals in the most lovely sense, and it's giving us all the warm 'n' fuzzies we could ever want. Be sure to stop by between 9:00am and 2:00pm for a bite this Wednesday, June 7th, to have a buck in your name donated to Wasatch Community Gardens. Let's raise each other up, y'all. (And, if we can do it while eating a tuna melt, a Peking duck bowl, or a pear and goat cheese salad, we're certainly up for the task.)
