There are views, and then there are VIEWS. And this very custom, very contemporary casa—perched just below Ensign Peak— offers some of the most dramatic we’ve seen in a long, long while...

The current owners elected the talented hands of James Carroll Design to create a space that would fully maximize the unique orientation of this prize Capitol Hill lot, and we happily swung by to celebrate the results. (And, as we’re COLLECTIVE suckers for good design, we were completely bowled over.)

We think the way the clean, modern, impeccably-designed space retains a sense of communal warmth and coziness is inspired, and we love the way the kitchen connects to the great room, the great room to the deck, and the deck to the Valley floor. We imagine wintry nights spent by the fire, while the city lights put on a show.

On a clear day, it feels like you can see the whole world from up here.

There are views here in spades, and even a rooftop deck on which to entertain, but we think what’s inside these walls is holding its own just fine. Those who feel the same will do well to watch this space; she's hitting the market soon, this one.
