Chad Parkinson | The Furniture Joint

Remember when men had large, non-ironic beards and made things with their hands from natural surroundings? Neither do we, but it sounds so idyllic. Chad Parkinson is living that very dream, using his own hands and beard to make beautifully-crafted, stylish furniture from giant trees. He's the owner/creator of The Furniture Joint, a local business with high standards. Chad prefers that his work to be natural and uncomplicated, sourcing local wood and bringing it back to his shop in the Granary district, where he hand shapes every unique piece. We can get behind that. “I don't strive to be rich, but yearn to provide quality in all things I do. The success of my business does not lean on high-volume sales, but on having the time to devote to designing and building challenging pieces,” he says. Chad's got a skill of the ages, with an eye for style; if his conscious business practices and healthy beard don’t sway you, just take a look at his work. We anticipate you'll want a Furniture Joint original of your own.
