Hats off to our friends at the Utah Heritage Foundation for having closed a gap; the bridge has been built between just touring a home you love and actually getting to spend some quality time in there. We understand that on certain tours, certain rules must be firmly in place -- if you want to pay respect to top-notch architecture, it's sometimes necessary to rock over-the-shoe booties, move at a brisk pace, and stay to the right of the blue tape. Sometimes, though, you just want to enter a stranger's beautiful home, lounge with a drink, and watch the sunset without being hassled, which is precisely why we went on the Avenues After Hours Tour. Last week's Saturday evening tour was a casually-paced, lovely cruise through a few of the keenest properties in the Aves [drink in hand and a few friendly folks to offer details along the way]. In fact, we're hoping to do a proper feature on the beauty below, owner permission pending. If you missed this year's tour, then prepare for a full year of anticipation 'til the next.
