Utah is pretty, y'all. Sure, we tire of those triple-digit temps come August, and we've been known to gripe about the struggle of a fresh snowfall (not everyone has a garage, you know), but truth is, we're absolutely smitten with this state--whatever her weather. And this weather--that sweet, all-too brief window between "too hot" and "too cold"--is perhaps where Utah shines brightest. As true as we are to the salty streets of SLC, you'd be hard-pressed to find a spot that's decked in more festive fall colors than our sister city to the East, Park City. In fact, we venture up the canyon any chance we get (Cody Derrick has a dreamy space up there, too), so naturally we love those opportunities to tuck our people into the hills of PC (and to help move Park City folks city-side, for that matter). For those looking to duck out of the hustle and bustle of downtown, there's a bevy of stunning spaces in Park City, and we recently found ourselves toe-to-toe with the Enclave at Sun Canyon.
"homes should be 'of' the mountain and not 'on the mountain'"
We were delighted at the opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the Enclave spaces when Cody helped some happy clients snap up a dreamy one of their own. It's said that the inspiration for the Enclave came from the site itself--an 80+ acre parcel of dreamy, canyon land. The developer, Steve Urry, was given a blank canvas, and essentially free reign to "create a project that showcases true organic contemporary design that is harmonious with its surroundings." According to Enclave listing agent Negar Chevre, the team drew inspiration from the design philosophy of Frank Lloyd Wright, who "believed homes should be 'of' the mountain and not 'on the mountain'," and the result succeeds in integrating a unique, modern project with its (stunning) natural surroundings. View wise, residents here needn't be concerned--the 68 acre canyon behind the development was donated by the developer to a nature conservancy, and it will never be built upon. In total, the Enclave at Sun Canyon is a community of 33 town homes and 5 single family home sites. Floor plans include 3 bedroom (plus office) to 5 bedroom stand-alone and duplex townhome residences, ranging from 3,500 sq. ft. to 6,200 sq. ft., and pricing starts at $2.225 million. Inside each, you'll find a wash of clean lines, a pleasing natural palette, wide open space, and floor-to-ceiling windows that seek to bring the outside in. Also bringing indoor/outdoor harmony, here? The stone-clad exteriors and grass rooftops of the structures (a thousand times, yes).
At cityhomeCOLLECTIVE, we strive to keep our readers updated on the most unique properties Utah has to offer, and the Enclave at Sun Canyon undoubtedly falls into that category. Modern architecture and mile after mile of wide open space--those looking to snag a bit of the goodness for themselves would do well to give us a call. We can personally attest to the fact that the hype is real.
