Caffe Niche

  • February 1, 2012

The exterior is appealing, to be sure – modern, steel panels against vintage, red brick, gaping windows and a lovely, covered patio for the warmer months. As trusted, the interior is equally engaging – industrial meets modern meets botanical…meets local art. The Caffe Niche menu speaks for its- [tasty and inventive] self: Honey & Lavender-Glazed Carrots, Seared Scallops with Asian Slaw, a Local Utah Elk Chimi Burger, to name a few. The fish tacos were among the best I’ve ever tasted. Beautiful, savory food + unique, understated decor = sublime dining experience

Niche has a discernible focus on local food and sustainability. True community supporters, there’s an emphasis on gathering the freshest, finest ingredients from local farms and ranchers…a commitment we need from more of our local restaurants. Further proof of incredible food and ambiance: Best Neighborhood Restaurant, 2011 and Best Eating, 2010 by Salt Lake Magazine.
