Our Opinion: This little bungalow packs a whole-lotta charm. Between the wood-burning stove, the beautiful moldings, the original hardwood floors, and the way that sunlight streams into the cozy little kitchen each morning, it’s feeling pretty damn good in here. Or it could be that this is one of a few houses, lined up just so on 700 East, that all look alike, thanks to the Dutch emigrants who built them (truth: the current owners found a wooden clog in the back yard that now hangs from the back stoop). Of course, a good home always has something to do with ownership, and the current feel-good folks living here have cared for the place and called it “home” for nearly a decade. One could also assume that the good vibes are the result of a neighborhood with much of the same. The lifestyle that comes with finding a home in this neck of our salty woods is one that just lends itself altogether to good living, in our opinion. Think: easy-breezy walks to a cup of coffee, a sensational restaurant, a sleepy bit of relaxing, or some boutique shopping. Yes, yes…Liberty Park, Trolley Square, and 9th & 9th are all within a short walk, and you’re as close to downtown as you’d like to be. This is the kind of home that reminds you just how connected our city is, and it’s perfect for anyone who wants to take advantage of what that feels like. Come take a gander and see what’s good.
