Our Opinion: As with most other things, the interior of a home rivals its exterior in terms of importance (see also: macarons, the hood of a ’65 Mustang, blind dates). Luckily for whomever snaps up this Cottonwood Heights casa, neither interior nor exterior has been sacrificed in terms of aesthetics, and we think you’ll see precisely what we mean in the photos below. Outside propagates curb appeal in spades: classic wood shingle siding pops against grey brick, and it’s cherried on top by that sweet red door. The front yard–with a few dandy trees–is sidled up to by a two-car garage and a spacious driveway. Score. The backyard sports a big back deck, which happens to be the perfect size for a few loungers, and a primo views of them hills. There’s also a fenced and shaded patio for sublime summertime dining. Also, not pictured (but extremely practical): a detached shop, ideal for storing large toys (RV, boat, pool table, flat-screen, etc.). Inside the home you’ll find tall ceilings–with delicious exposed beams in the main living space–and a delightfully fluid floor plan. Updates in the kitchen, tasty hardwood flooring in a few goodly rooms, a finished basement with extra bedrooms, and the whole kit and caboodle is a quick 15 to downtown and 25 to four different mountains. Interior? Check. Exterior? Check. We’d say this one is a match.
