    Our Opinion: We’ve been told every cloud has a silver lining, and it seems that rule of thumb is in full effect here. The upside of a few of our favorite folks packing up and moving on from our salty streets due to a job transfer? They’re leaving one hell of a space up for grabs. Tristan and Terri are a few of Salt Lake’s finest, and the house which they’ve made home is evidence of that in the highest regard. The space has seen its fair share of shindigs–as part of one of SLC’s most well-known Supper Clubs, many-a local foodie have been wined and dined here (including yours truly). It’s a tidy, unassuming modern number, tucked away on a quiet Millcreek street, and flanked on all sides by a slew of privacy-bearing trees. The charmingly-vintage, mid-century exterior is beautifully balanced by a completely updated interior. This is just the right mix of preserved OG touches and sleek, modern upgrades, and the result is resplendent. Rich hardwood floors pop against stark, white walls, and though the dark, exposed beams make the space feel nice and cozy, the floor-to-ceiling windows lend a welcome sense of openness. A newly-updated kitchen and bath add some swank to the space, and we’re dying over the original wood finishes in nearly every room. Perhaps best of all? This casa is sporting a private patio (all treehouse-like), and a totally private, grassy backyard. We’re picturing endless soirees here, well into the chillier months (trust–you’ll be willing to toss on a cardigan for that patio). We hate to see our friends go, but we can’t wait to meet the new ones that’ll snap up this space next. You know, closing doors and opening windows and all that.
